Mar 2005 - 3 yrs 4 mths - Monash University, Australia
Postgraduate Research (Ph.D. Degree) (Full time)

Thesis Title: Contour Contour-based Corner Detection and Robust Geometric Point Matching Techniques.

Abstract: Corners are visually distinguishable, well localized, and more robust than other image feature-points like wavelet maxima. We have proposed two corner detectors that can efficiently and reliably detect corners on the extracted edges from images. We have also proposed a corner matching technique that is not only effective but also efficient.

Evaluation: New corner detectors are available for user evaluation at:

Thesis: Reversible Watermarking using the Human Visual System.

Abstract: Reversible watermarking for multimedia data authentication has become an active area of research in last few years. High embedding capacity and perceptually invisible distortions are the key requirements of reversible watermarking techniques. We proposed three reversible watermarking algorithms based on the human visual system (HVS).

Jan 2002 - 1 yr - Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh
Undergraduate research in dept. of CSE (Final year project)

Thesis: Dynamic Data Mining.

Abstract: Data mining refers to extracting or “mining” knowledge from large amounts of data. It is also called a method of “knowledge presentation” where visualization and knowledge representation techniques are used to present the mined knowledge to the user. We proposed an algorithm which was more efficient comparing with respect to both time and memory complexity than the existing techniques.
